I am both proud and excited to be a member of the dynamic Brooks Crossing and Deans community, as Principal. I feel honored to join a group of dedicated students, educational professionals and families. I look forward to working together, as a cohesive, united team, to enrich the educational experiences of all students.

I come to Brooks Crossing with many years of experience teaching in in-class support settings, instructional support classrooms, as well as the general education setting, and have served as an Assistant Principal, for the last four years, in Montgomery Township. I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Elementary Education from Rider University. I then earned a Masters in Educational Administration and Supervision, also from Rider University.

Children’s elementary school years are the most important, as they frame a child’s perception of school for all the years that follow. We all want our children to grow into innovative, confident problem-solvers, who reach their full potential. I will work tirelessly, as part of a team, to support your child in every way possible, as they grow their social, emotional and academic skills.

I am grateful to be working alongside you at Brooks Crossing Elementary School as the new Assistant Principal starting this school year.

A little bit about myself: I finished my undergrad at Rutgers College in New Brunswick (Class of 2000) with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and World Religions. Then I received my Master of Divinity from St. Vladimir’s Seminary in 2003, followed by my K-8 Teaching Certification from Georgian Court University in 2005. I went on to teach Math over the last 17 years, from Basic Skills to Advanced Math and in both Elementary and Middle Schools, all in the Jackson School District (home of Six Flags Great Adventure). In January 2021, I completed my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership (Principal & Supervisor Certificate) from Kean University. I have worn many hats over the years in school and in the community, but I am honored to be given the chance to join this amazing team of educators here at Brooks Crossing.

The things I enjoy in this life are numerous and are as widespread as the sky. From Star Wars to Marvel DC comics to singing karaoke (say when) and through the seasons of the NBA and NFL, I try to be well read and aware of the world around me, while engaging in meaningful, bridge-building conversations with anyone who wants to talk. I love to laugh and to enjoy the best of what the world has to offer. From what I understand, you all do, too. Last but certainly not least, my young family is the foundation of my life and my reason for being: Julianna (8), Andrew (3) and Josephina (8 mos.) along with their mother and my wife Jennifer.

My educational philosophy is clear: to raise children to new heights of growth in knowledge and character of body, mind and soul providing their mentors with the resources and support to find success and to grow professionally themselves.
