Principal Message

Coming soon! Check back for our Welcome Letter for the 2022-2023 school year! It will have important information and procedures for the start of the 2022-2023 school year at Brooks Crossing Elementary School!

Dear Brooks Crossing Families,
I am both proud and excited to be a member of the dynamic Brooks Crossing community, as Principal. Each day I come to work, I feel honored to work alongside a group of dedicated students, educational professionals, and supportive families. We truly are a community and over these past years, we have seen the effects of working together as a cohesive, united team, to enrich the educational experiences of all students. We now know that no matter what comes our way, we can tackle it together.

Brooks Crossing is something special. I have never seen a team of educators who care more deeply or will go to greater lengths to support and connect with kids. Whether you are new to Brooks Crossing or returning, I know you will see what I mean on your child’s very first day of school and every day that follows. Children’s elementary school years are the most important, as they frame a child’s perception of school for all the following years, and lifelong learning is our ultimate goal! We all want our children to grow into innovative, confident problem-solvers, who reach their full potential. I am committed to working tirelessly, as part of our team, to support your child in every way possible, as they grow their social, emotional, and academic skills.

I would like to encourage you to stay in contact with our school. You can always check out our Facebook page, which is regularly updated. Additionally, you can read all important information on our weekly Online Friday Folder.  You can receive an email reminder Friday mornings with a direct link by clicking here and following the steps to set up notifications. You can also check out school happenings by visiting Brooks Crossing’s Twitter account: @SBSDBC, as well as my personal Twitter account: @jaime_maccarone. Most importantly, please get involved with our Brooks Crossing PTO. Even if you can’t help with events, becoming a member and supporting fundraisers are great ways to support the Brooks Crossing Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) in offering learning experiences that wouldn’t ordinarily be possible within our regular school budget.

We do our best in supporting kids when we communicate openly. I am available to you. Please feel free to reach out anytime.

Jaime Maccarone, Principal
