Please send your children to school prepared for the colder weather! Students will go outside for fun, fresh air and recess on most days. Label coats, hats, gloves and scarves to help us reunite lost items with them!

OUR NEXT EARLY RELEASE DAY IS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 23rd. BC MAIN Campus Gr. 1-5 dismiss 1:40pm and DEANS Campus Kindergarten dismiss 1:45pm.
DEANS PRESCHOOL PARENTS: Refer to the updated  arrival/dismissal schedule & instructions , that was also emailed on 11/21. This contains DE Preschool schedules for Regular Day, Early Release Day, & 2 Hour Delayed Opening Day.)
SBSD Revised School Closing Calendar We ask that you please try and plan travel around our school calendar to limit absences. Disenrollment & Re-Registering for Extended Absences ~ For a planned absence of 10 or more days, students will be disenrolled on the first day of absence. Please notify your child's teacher and [email protected] as soon as you know your travel plans for your child. Michelle Cima will send you information that includes a link to a form to report the absence. You will then be notified of the steps to follow if you choose to re-register your child to attend Brooks Crossing Elementary School upon your return. NOTE: Re-registering may take a few days after you return and there is no guarantee for the same classroom assignment.

Message from the BC Health Center Thank you to everyone who has been mindful of when to keep ill students home. With everyone's help, we can work together and do our best to try and control the spread of illness in school.
Few reminders ~
- Please keep your child home with a fever over 100.2.
- Children must be fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medication, before they can return to school.
- If your child has vomiting or diarrhea, we ask you to keep them home for 24 hours from the last episode.
- If unsure whether or not to send your child, please speak with one of our school nurses.

~ ALL preschoolers must have a flu shot by December 31st to continue attending. Submit proof of vaccination to [email protected] ~ COVID Positive Student Reporting Form - complete this form if your child tests positive ~ SBSD COVID Guidance -Please read to understand the Covid guidelines as of 9/6/22 and parental responsibilities.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS ~ Use the Parent Note to School / Dismissal Change Form when changing your child's dismissal routine or signing them out early. (Do NOT email changes as messages may not be received in time. If late notice, phone the main office.) ~ Notify SBSD Transportation Department directly with bus concerns & questions.
